Rolling Back Lead Regulations (or “I love the poorly educated”) December 31, 2017

During #45’s campaign he said he loved “poorly educated” people. Well, here he and his cronies are trying to increase their voting base by poisoning United States citizens with MORE lead. [1,2,3]

Appointed by #45, the current E.P.A. Administrator (Scott Pruitt) is known to dislike the agency and the rules it promulgates. He denies climate change and basic facts which have been scientifically proven for decades. One fact he denies is mercury pollution is hazardous to public health.[4,5]

Pruitt is now in a position to dramatically cut back on regulations, research, and dissemination of true science conducted by
professionals. This is dangerous to everyone everywhere. What happens here does not stay here.

Pruitt’s E.P.A. wanted more years to study the lead paint rule because he doesn’t believe it is dangerous.[6] The court has only allowed 90 days to rethink the issue. Lead (Atomic number 82) is a neurotoxin which accumulates in our bodies and the environment and in excess causes problems in living tissue including memory and cognitive difficulties.

The impacts of poison to our bodies, our DNA, our children and future generations, water bodies, the atmosphere, all of earth’s inhabitants, and the universe will be compounded every time more damage is allowed and regulations are relaxed. The ripples caused by one drop in a pond are not wiped away by the seeming unending vastness of the oceans.

210,000 gallons leaked out of Keystone oil pipeline this week, polluting South Dakota’s agricultural land. KeystoneXL oil pipeline is slated to be built but is waiting for approval from State of Nebraska. This will inevitably leak. Vote no! Protect the land, resources, and the living.

How many have not been harassed, assaulted or raped?

Headlines and conversations need to change.

“Criminal assaulted a woman” not “Woman assaulted”

“Pedophile rapes child” not “Child raped”

“Boss harassed employee” not “Employee harassed by boss”

An oil rig exploded AGAIN. This one is in Lake Pontchartrain. Seven people injured, the rig is on fire, and the environment will suffer.
